About

The Sidespace Gallery is a professional exhibition space that is accessible and affordable for solo artists and small group exhibitions. 

A quirky gallery with perfect proportions, the Sidespace Gallery is the gallery of favour for artists wishing to exhibit contemporary work in the public domain. 

Previously only available to SAC Associate Members, from 2026 the Sidespace Gallery is available to a wider range of applicants, including Commercial Galleries.

The Sidespace Gallery is part of Salamanca Art Centre’s subsidised Access Galleries Program and is available to Salamanca Arts Centre Associate Members on the acceptance of an exhibition proposal.

Extension of Long Gallery Hire / Festivals
$111 per Day / $500 per Week

Commercial Galleries / Commercial / Government Departments
$133 per Day / $600 per Week

$110 per Day

All prices are inclusive of GST and are effective from 1 January 2026.

*Venue Hire Rates will increase as of 1 January 2027.

Applying for the Sidespace Gallery

Salamanca Arts Centre assesses applications for the Sidespace Gallery twice annually, with application rounds occurring in April and September each year, with Special Applications Round (in the event of a cancellation) if required.

**Applications for the remaining dates in 2026 are now CLOSED**
Assessments are underway and all applicants will be contacted with outcomes by the end of October 2025.

– Wednesday 9 – Monday 21 September 2026 (13 x Days)
