Jen Cramer is an accomplished Australian event producer, operations specialist and community-focused leader based in Hobart. Guided by a deep respect for artists, audiences
and the places they gather, she thrives on turning bold creative concepts into smoothly delivered, meaningful experiences. Her career, spanning more than 30 years, encompasses roles across government, arts and
cultural sectors, including event production, Indigenous arts management, and statewide festival delivery.
Jen joined the Sydney International Piano Competition as Operations Manager, where she directed a team of staff and more than 80 volunteers to stage one of the country’s premier international cultural events.
She has also held the role of Senior Producer, Creative Activations, with Inner West Council, delivering grassroots community events and championing emerging local artists.
Jen managed the Minyma Kutjara Indigenous Arts Centre in the remote community of Irrunytju (Wingellina), WA, partnering closely with Indigenous artists to shape culturally
grounded programming, and led operations for Tasmania’s Ten Days on the Island Festival, overseeing 256 events across 111 venues in 52 towns. A graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art
(Technical Production), Jen combines this early artistic training with sharp logistical and stakeholder management skills. Colleagues know her for calm, methodical leadership under pressure, genuine cultural sensitivity, and an enduring belief that the best creative outcomes come from strong partnerships and careful, respectful planning.
Stephanie Francis

Stephanie Francis is Salamanca Arts Centreโs Venues Manager, and formerly the Front of House & Admin Coordinator. Steph joined SAC in early 2023 and brings with her a background in the performing arts to her role. With a Bachelor of Contemporary Art majoring in Theatre, she has worked with theatre companies and practitioners across Tasmania and interstate. Her experience spans performance, administration, and general coordination of workshops, programs, and events.
Sheridan Legg

Sheridan Legg joined the Salamanca Arts Centre team in 2016, after being introduced to the heritage building and its residents through an internship with the Tasmanian Writersโ Centre. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business with majors in English and Accounting, and Honours in Creative Writing. At Salamanca Arts Centre Sheridan manages the accounts, tenancies and operational administration.
Grace McCallum

Grace McCallum joined SAC in early 2023, bringing with her experience across music, arts, media and technology. A singer and journalist, she first travelled to Sweden after winning a competition to become the only international member of ABBAโs official 40th Anniversary Choir. She went on to spend nearly a decade in the Swedish music industry, co-founding the music tech community and coworking space, STHLM Music City and working with organisations including Spotify, BBC, Time Out, The Local and Marshall as a journalist, copywriter and editor. During this time, she also travelled widely as a music industry delegate and speaker. Grace later created and hosted the music podcast Sound Minds for Reason Studios, which charted in 33 countries and was featured by Apple. At Salamanca Arts Centre, Grace oversees Marketing and Special Projects, including SACโs 50th anniversary celebrations. She also produces ABC Radio Hobartโs Saturdays program and sits on the Board of Music Tasmania.
Magdalena Lane

Magdalena Lane is an accomplished Australian creative strategist, community convenor and cultural executive/leader based in Hobart. With creativity, collaboration and humankind at the heart of what drives her, her passion is to transform imagined possibilities into tangible outcomes. She brings 25 years of multidisciplinary expertise across the private, commercial and
not-for-profit sectors. She has held key leadership positions in philanthropy, cultural policy development, strategic communications and community development.
Most recently, Magdalena has served as the Head of Mastery of Systems Leadership at Small Giants Academy (a global initiative examining what it means to be human and to lead in the complexity of contemporary environmental, economic, policy, social and cultural contexts) and as the Project Lead, Forest Economics Congress, Mona. She has served on numerous arts and community boards and has her own practice in social
sculpture.
David Hughes
Buildings & Facilities Manager

David Hughes is Salamanca Arts Centreโs Buildings & Facilities Manager, and during the 1980s and โ90s, David performed at SAC venues but formed a stronger relationship with the Arts Centre in the year 2000. Davidโs background in architecture and building construction prepared him for the challenges and opportunities that heritage buildings offer, particularly in building compliance and environmental comfort. David places emphasis on safety, heritage interpretation and the integrity of the building structure, in partnership with the State Government, SACโs landlord.
Eric Jacques

Eric Jaques has worked as an events industry technician for over 20 years, providing sound and light technical services for all the major companies and festivals, with roles ranging from corporate, theatre, band, and sports events. In the role as Technical Manager for Salamanca Arts Centre, Ericโs responsibilities cover the audio, lighting, and AV for all venues and galleries, as well as curating special events.
Allana Blizzard

Allana Blizzard is the Venues Manager of Salamanca Arts Centre. Since 2008, she has managed SACโs seven Galleries, three Performing Arts Venues, and the Residential Artistsโ Cottage. Allana is a Visual Artist, working primarily in 2D mediums (painting, drawing and photography). Prior to working at SAC, Allana was a Secondary Visual Arts Teacher.

Margaret Reynolds

Margaret Reynolds has a professional background in education, public policy development and human rights advocacy, and has been an elected member of local government and Federal Parliament over a twenty-year period and has represented Australia at the United Nations General Assembly.
Margaret was a Labor Senator and Minister in the Hawke and Keating Government Governments, working on a range of social policy reforms with a particular focus on the rights of women, First Australians and people living with disability.
Since retiring from parliament, Margaret has lectured in international relations and human rights at the University of Queensland. She chaired the Australian Centre for Excellence in Local Government Board (University of Technology, Sydney) to recognise innovation in council initiatives in community and cultural development.
In Tasmania Margaret was CEO of National Disability Services 2004-2012 and was appointed to State and Federal advisory committees to assist the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. She was Chair of Screen Tasmania Board 2000-2010 and Chair of the Tasmanian Womenโs Advisory Committee 2000-2005. Margaret was also Chair of the Salamanca Arts Centre Board from March 2019 until May 2026.
She and her partner Henry live at Tasmaniaโs History House in Richmond where they are involved in promoting an understanding of Tasmanian history and recognition of built heritage.

Ian Broinowski, PhD, MEd, BA(Soc Wk), BEc, Dip Teach, worked as an advanced skills teacher in childrenโs services at TAFE Tasmania in Hobart, Australia for many years. Ian has a background in Economicsโ, Social Work and Education.
He has taught in a wide range of subjects in aged care, disability services, childrenโs services, community and youth work. Ian also taught with UTAS and Curtin University in Education. He worked for a period as a house parent in Bristol, England and in Northern Ireland. He has also held positions as a child welfare officer in Tasmania and NSW. Ianโs publications include Child Care Social Policy and Economics, (1994) Creative Childcare Practice: Program design in early childhood, (2002) and Managing Childrenโs Services 2004.
In his PhD at the University of South Australia he examined the relationship between enchantment, imagination and creativity, and the quality of the work of the early childhood educator. Ian was awarded the Jean Denton national scholarship in 2001. In 2013 he presented a paper at the Future of Education Conference in Florence Italy on the โUse of Humour in Online Teachingโ.
He was on the UTAS Medical Ethics Research Committee from 2011 to 2022. In 2019 he published The Pakana Voice: Tales of a War Correspondent from Lutruwita (Tasmania) 1814โโโ1856.
Ian also enjoys woodcraft and bookbinding.
Eloise Balcombe

Eloise Balcombe is a Hobart-born illustrator, designer, and artist with a strong connection to Tasmaniaโs creative community. After completing a Bachelor of Design in Victoria, she returned home and held a studio at Salamanca Arts Centre, which became a hub for her evolving practice. Over the past decade, Eloise has participated in group exhibitions, markets, and even ran a pop-up shopโall within Salamanca Arts Centre. Her multidisciplinary work reflects a love for storytelling, craft, and visual communication.
In addition to freelancing as a designer and illustrator, Eloise has worked as a gallery assistant at Bett Gallery since 2022, deepening her engagement with the local arts scene. With roots in both community and professional art spaces, Eloise brings insight and experience to the Salamanca Arts Centre board, supporting the vibrant and diverse arts ecosystem that helped shape her own creative journey.
Rowan Silva

Rowan Silva is a lawyer with a lengthy and varied career, having worked for Indigenous legal services, community legal centres, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) and two separate law firms he established whilst living in Queensland.
He has served extensively on the management committees of several community legal centres and is a former board director of the New Moon Theatre Company. He is also a past AHRC Law Award finalist, and the recipient of awards for his contributions to legal aid services and his local community. He has a longstanding passion for, and keen interest in, the arts.

Matt Woolf is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience across banking, financial services, and aged care. Heโs worked with organisations including Deloitte, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).
At CBA, Matt was an Executive Manager, leading finance teams supporting the Retail Bank and Wealth Management divisions. He held a number of Financial Controller roles and built strong skills in business partnering, FP&A, and financial reporting.
More recently, Mattโs held senior roles in Finance and Operations with a leading aged care provider in Tasmania.

Peter West has spent his career helping organisations grow their audiences, strengthen community connections, and increase support through effective communications, fundraising, and philanthropy.
His experience spans both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors, including serving as Optus General Manager for Tasmania and working with a range of Tasmania’s most respected organisations, including the Tasmanian Football League, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, and RSPCA Tasmania.
Peter is currently Director of Development and Philanthropy at the Royal Hobart Hospital Foundation, Chair of the Salamanca Arts Centre, and a Board Director of Nexus Inc.
Based in Hobart, he is passionate about helping organisations create meaningful impact and stronger communities across Tasmania.
