About

The Peacock Theatre is Salamanca Art Centre’s unique performance space that has been created at the foot of a historic quarry, named after the company that produced jams and juices on the site for half a century.

The Peacock Theatre is the venue of choice for intimate live productions accommodating dance, live art, hybrid music and film. A unique performance and event venue on the ground floor of the Salamanca Arts Centre, with a magnificent natural rock face as its backdrop, maximum Fixed Seating Capacity of 131 (unnumbered) seats.

Commercial / Government Departments: $525 per Day / $2,362.50 per Week

Bump In / Bump Out / Rehearsals / Creative Developments
Independent Artists: $185 per Day / $810 per Week
Not for Profit / Educational Institutions / Schools / Arts Organisaions: $205 per Day / $922.50 per Week
Commercial / Government Departments: $400 per Day / $1,800 per Week

All prices are inclusive of GST and valid from 1 January 2025.
Venue Hire Rates do not include all charges (such as additional equipment or a SAC Technician etc.). Please refer to the Peacock Theatre Information Kit / Conditions of Hire (PDF) for more information and for details on all additional charges.

*Venue Hire Rates will increase as of 1 January 2027.

Applying for Peacock Theatre: Remaining Dates in 2026 Calendar

Salamanca Arts Centre (SAC) is currently seeking applications for inclusion in the Peacock Theatre 2026 Calendar. 
Applications are sought from Solo Artists, Groups of Artists, Arts Oraganisations, Theatre and Dance Companies and Festivals for events spanning Performance, Dance, Theatre, Music, Film and MORE!

Salamanca Arts Centre assesses applications for the Peacock Theatre twice annually, with application rounds occurring in April and September each year, with Special Applications Round (in the event of a cancellation) if required.

This Application Round is for REMAINING DATES ONLY. 
Many months in the 2026 Calendar was filled by successful applicants during the April 2025 Application Round. 

Dates remaining in 2026:
– from Monday 5 January – Tuesday 31 March 2026
– from Tuesday 21 April – Saturday 30 May 2026
– from Thursday 16 July – Saturday 1 August 2026
– from Thursday 20 – Tuesday 25 August 2026
– from Monday 7 – Saturday 19 December 2026
