Uncovered – reveals all with nowhere to hide.
Exhumed, unearthed.
Unprotected and exposed.
Naked and bare.
Until discovered and found.

Clay presents itself in many forms โ€“ sculptural and creative, functional and practical.

This rich earth that we fashion into many forms can be left bare and exposed displaying its crude nature or decorated and glazed to project completely different textures and colours. Adding further raw elements like oxides, silica and fluxes along with colouring agents in varying combinations, add intense heat along with the artistโ€™s ability to transform a piece of clay into a work of art. Each stage of the artistโ€™s journey works towards alter this simplest form of earth โ€“ clay – into its final solid ceramic form.
