Following careers in the music world, two artists are now sharing their adventures in the visual world with particular emphasis on the beauty of Tasmania.

This exhibition will demonstrate the strength of a long-term collaboration between two artists who began their careers and friendship in the music world. A mutual respect for the beauty of our island is expressed in “Sound and Sight” where once again a connection has been forged through the visual arts.

As emerging artists, Christian and Catherine have been able to discuss their transition along with ideas about medium and content, and how these choices have affected outcomes.

Christian’s preference for a dry medium and Catherine’s for oils has led to interesting comparisons of effect, design and approach especially given the subject likeness.

Despite the stated differences and because of the similarities, these two artists have combined to complement each other and create a visual harmony.

Works are presented on paper, canvas and board.
