Lost Worlds is an exhibition of abstract photography that illustrates the illusive nature of memory. Using layered transparencies, images dissolve and new worlds emerge. This is photography beyond the single frame, beyond convention. 

The work sits somewhere between abstraction and recognition. You see landscape, figure, atmosphere, but never land on a single, stable image. Dust, light, and time accumulate within the frame itself. Each layer shifts what you see.

David Pyefinch’s exhibition brings together exciting new A2 prints alongside his earlier work. The Lost Worlds images are immersive and dreamlike, staying close to how memory actually feels – jolted, half-formed, impossible to hold in focus. The exhibition is photography that moves beyond documentation into pure visual experience – original, abstract, and entirely its own language.
