IRIDESCENCE โ€“ the visual shimmer of changing colour as viewed from different angles across the landscape. Painted with thin metallic acrylic paint layers the paintings pick up ambient light which changes in appearance throughout the day.

IRIDESCENCE โ€“
the luminosity of changing colourย
as viewed from different angles.

These new works are abstract paintings exploring how iridescence plays out across the Tasmanian landscape. The works are painted onto plywood art panels with metallic acrylic paints which are applied in very fine layers that build up a visual shimmer across the image.

The works exude a vibrant glow amplifying the power and wild beauty of our landscapes in changing light.ย
