Dive beneath the waves of the stunning new picture book ‘In the Kelp Forest’ with an exhibition of the beautiful original watercolour drawings and preparatory works by the illustrator, Belinda Casey.

‘In the Kelp Forest’ is a stunning new picture book co-authored by Aunty Patsy Cameron and Reena Balding and illustrated by proud Pinterrairer artist Belinda Casey, which explores the beauty and strength of Country beneath the waves and celebrates the living kelp forests, their creatures, and deep Cultural knowledge of the Tasmanian Aboriginal people.

‘In the Kelp Forest’ – Beneath the Waves, presents Belinda’s beautiful original watercolour drawings for ‘In the Kelp Forest’, together with her research materials and preparatory drawings for the final illustrations. Deep dive into the process of this first-time illustrator and gain insight into the planning and work involved in the creation of a children’s picture book.
