Artist Statement

It began with a meditative drawing.

I knew not what it was until a friend pointed out that it reminded him of a cocoon. I turned this drawing into a stencil.

Using holographic vinyl this drawing of a cocoon has transformed into fairy wings.

When sunlight is allowed to pass through them they reflect onto the walls a beautiful light.

This friend who pointed out the cocoon was once close to death due to leukemia. And he saw this type of light that would pass between and radiate from people.

Here I am exploring the unseen but felt energy exchanges. The way it can be seen if we give it the time and space. How we are all constantly transforming. If we allow ourselves to simply be with.
