5pm\n\n\n\nShifting Horizons is a collection of paintings that explores
the dynamic relationship between nature\, movement\, and perception. Eac
h painting captures the shifting light\, curves of the path\, and undula
ting terrain. The colour palette blends vibrant tones with muted gradien
ts\, creating a fresh perspective on how a landscape can feel like.Shift
ing Horizons is an exploration of abstract landscapes and close up studi
es that captures the dynamic intersection between nature\, movement\, an
d perception. In this collection\, the act of hiking—a journey through
the ever-changing terrains of the natural world—becomes a metaphor fo
r personal transformation and the evolving relationship we have with the
environment around us.\n\n\n\nEach piece in this exhibition explores th
e shifting light\, the curve of the path\, the rise and fall of the terr
ain. While navigating landscapes\, the canvas becomes an intimate dialog
ue with colour\, texture\, and form.\n\n\n\nThe colour palette of this s
eries offers a fresh perspective on what a landscape can feel like. Rich
and vibrant tones merge with muted gradients to suggest not only the ph
ysical scenery but also the emotional responses encountered on these jou
rneys. Hiking\, especially in mountain areas is a time where the horizon
is constantly moving\, shifting\, and expanding. \n\n\n\nIn Shifting Ho
rizons\, you are invited to embrace the unknown\, to lose yourself in th
e vastness of colour and form\, and to reflect on the landscapes—both
external and internal—that we traverse in our daily lives. This exhibi
tion serves as a reminder that change\, like a horizon\, is both constan
t and boundless. \n\n\n\nGuest artist Olivia Hickey creates moulds for h
er jewellery in situ in order to preserve\, celebrate and communicate th
e diversity and beauty of the hidden details of the Southwest. Her piece
s are talismans of place and offer a tangible reminder of the ephemeral
moments of the wild places.\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nAccessible T
