 n artists Michael Reinhart and Lin Snelling are visiting artists in resi
 dence in the Artistsâ€™ Cottage in Kelly St\, Battery Point\, as part of
  the Artist in Residency program\, supported by Salamanca Arts Centre.\n
 \n\n\nMichael and Lin have been working in the Arts Centreâ€™s Studio 23
 8 since their arrival at the beginning of February and are holding an Op
 en Studio from 5pm â€“ 7pm on Friday 27th March.About the Artists:Michae
 l Reinhart is a graduate of The Ontario College of Art\, has wide &amp\;
  varied experience in the worldâ€™sÂ interdisciplinary/visual art\, musi
 c\, film &amp\; performance\, with choreographers\, dancers\, poets\, mu
 sicians &amp\; directors in Canada\, New York &amp\; Europe. With long-t
 ime collaborator Lin Snelling\, Michael has collaborated on several proj
 ects since 1982. Among them are the choreography/document â€˜extinctionâ
 €™ (2004) &amp\; â€˜Woman As Landscapeâ€™ (1999-2000)\, produced by Carb
 one 14 at Usine C. More recently he collaborated in Performing Book at t
 he AGA in Edmonton. Michael has released five original albums\, the two 
 most recent being â€˜Cyprus Songsâ€™ (2011) &amp\; â€˜eCHOâ€™ (2013). He
  improvises sporadically in the trio Status Quoi with JÃ©rÃ©mi Roy\, Dav
 id Ryshpan\, along with various invited artists.\n\n\n\nLin Snelling is 
 a dancer whose artistic practice brings the qualities of improvisation i
 nto dance\, theatre\, writing\, visual art\, and somatic practice. She t
 oured the world with Quebecois dance/theatre troupe Carbone 14 and worke
 d with many improvisation ensembles. Lin created Rewriting Distance with
  dramaturg Guy Cools that toured extensively through Europe and Canada. 
 Recently she collaborated in a durational performance moving in real tim
 e with Shelagh Keeleyâ€™s&nbsp\;#FilmNotebooks&nbsp\;1985â€“2017 at The 
 Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery in Toronto. Her recent dance collab
 orations include Far Away and Personal\, a dance film with long-time col
 laborator musician/composer Michael Reinhart and ENTRANCES with writer D
 avid Gagnon Walker and multimedia designer Tori Morrison from Strange Vi
 ctory Performance. Lin teaches dance\, experiential anatomy\, and compos
 ition at the University of Alberta where she is also Coordinator of the
