SUMMARY:FUSION
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Jackson Studio\n\n\n\nExhibition Dates : Friday
  19 - Monday 29 September 2025Saturday - Thursday 10:30am - 4:30am&nbsp\
;Fridays 10:30am - 6:30pm\n\n\n\nA celebration of Jackson Studio members
 ' artworks.\n\n\n\nFUSION is Jackson Studio's 7th Group Exhibition - a c
elebration of work completed by members of the studio which provides art
tuition and mentoring for adults.\n\n\n\n"I have a huge variety of memb
ers from complete beginners through to experienced artists and the title
reflects my members' cohesion\, despite not all knowing each other. Our
theme therefore is the fusion of ideas and enthusiasm\, camaraderie and
support that is shown by everyone and fostered in the studio.\n\n\n\nFo
r this exhibition\, members have chosen the work they are most happy wit
h\, completed in the previous two years\, since our last exhibition at S
idespace\, or that which most aptly reflects their intention. This is an
opportunity for all members to come together\, meet and enjoy each othe
rs' work\, and to show it off to their friends\, family and the public.\
n\n\n\nJackson is based in a home studio and has been running in one for
m or another since 2014\, having grown from 4 people on a Saturday morni
ng to over 80 in any one week. There are 8 separate sessions of around 6
  - 10 people plus one-on-one times available on request.\n\n\n\nOur mott
o is "feel the fear and do it your way!" Experimentation is the name of
the game - individuality is encouraged. Members are exposed to new artis
ts and styles on a regular basis and have the opportunity to try many di
fferent mediums. The more we learn about artists and styles\, and hear a
bout their artistic journeys\, the more we experiment\, find out what we
like (and don't like) develop artistic confidence\, and develop our own
styles.\n\n\n\nEach week I provide an Artist of the Week with informati
on\, videos and exercises at the start of every session (everything prov
ided) and then after that everyone gets on with their own projects.&nbsp
\;\n\n\n\nEach of these sessions are complete in their own right - the a
rtist might be from anywhere in the world and any art period/movement or
genre. Members are welcome to make suggestions\, so each week you could
be anywhere in art history - this keeps it fresh and fun!\n\n\n\nThe st
udio is fully stocked with oils\, acrylics\, watercolour\, gouache\, dra
wing materials and much more. The only items members are required to pro
vide are their own brushes and canvases and ideas!\n\n\n\nJackson is sui
table for anyone over 18 who is interested in art\, art theory and art h
istory and wants to have a go\, no previous experience or exposure to ar
t is necessary - and no pressure! You take as much or as little as you l
ike - it's up to you - beginners are most welcome\, likewise those with
experience who want like-minded artists to paint with and share ideas.\n
\n\n\nA slideshow will be showing on an iPad at the exhibition – so yo
u will be able to see everyone at work in the studio plus some of our ar
t exercises.\n\n\n\nI am very proud of Jackson - such a great crew who s
upport each other every step of the way\, and I am thrilled to present o
ur work to you now\, I hope you enjoy the show.Thank you."- Sarah Weaver
