DESCRIPTION:Noula Diamantopoulos &amp\; Sue Leitch\n\n\n\nOpening Event
 : Friday 31 October 2025\, 5:30pm - 7:30pm\n\n\n\nExhibition Dates : Thu
 rsday 30 October - Sunday 9 November 2025Tuesday - Sunday 10:30am - 4:30
pmMondays CLOSED\n\n\n\nFragments and Fluidity\, finding angels and fish
\, a timeline of practice in mosaic and encaustic\; exploring\, realigni
ng and repurposing of the discarded.\n\n\n\nVisual Artists Sue Leitch an
d Noula Diamantopoulos have been collaborating artistically since 2017.&
nbsp\; They are both mosaic artists but also share other artistic intere
sts including monoprinting and collage.&nbsp\; Their first collaboration
was on a series titled The Angels and these were exhibited at Moonah Ar
ts Centre in August 2024 and featured mosaic and encaustic techniques co
mbined to produce celestial works of small angels. &nbsp\;\n\n\n\nThis w
ork has now transitioned to explore the oceans and rivers with the focus
of their current body of work moving through angel fish into other aqua
tic life forms in the depths or shallows of water.\n\n\n\nThe hard mater
ials of mosaic practice meet the fluidity of encaustic wax to create mys
terious celestial and underwater stories.\n\n\n\nUsing waste from one ar
tistic practice to nurture the other\, paint waste is included as an unc
onventional material in the mosaics alongside more traditional materials
of glass\, China\, marble and stone.&nbsp\; Their practice includes the
sharing of resources\, often seeing differently what others have in sto
rage waiting to be used.&nbsp\; There are guttural and intuitive respons
es to the placements of material by another to create work and then to t
ake that work further.\n\n\n\nFragments\, fracturessmall matters that no
  longer matter...Mosaic\, collage\, assemblage\, bricolage...\n\n\n\nThe
ir work is fragmented practice\, often separated by time and place\, but
through this practice and shared values\, they are creating responses t
o each other’s work.\n\n\n\nThe exhibition is founded in reimagining t
he everyday and the exotic. &nbsp\;\n\n\n\nThe exhibition includes work
from both the Angels and Fish series and will feature works that are mor
e intimate in scale\, and varied in materiality.\n\n\n\nFluidity fuses f
 orm.\n\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nAccessible Toilets (Level 1 + Groun
