 \n\nAn abstract approach to Bruny Island.Simon Leah and Lana Daubermann\
 , two artists with wildly different art practices take on the rugged and
  beautiful landscape of Bruny Island. \n\n\n\nSimon\, a decorative arti
 st\, explores the colours and textures of the coastline by hand marbling
  onto materials such as plaster &amp\; aluminium which are then assemble
 d into screens\, wall hangings and sculptures.\n\n\n\nHis works referenc
 e the patination of the natural world by the elements... sandstone carve
 d by the winds\, Kelp ripped from the shoreline and left to rust\, drift
 wood make silky by time.\n\n\n\nLana\, an accomplished oil painter\, wil
 l be exhibiting canvasses painted both plein air and from her Melbourne 
 studio. Her landscapes capture the unpredictable nature of the Islands c
 limate. Ambling rivulets that wind to raging beaches\, rocky outcrops en
 dless slapped by the tides\, angry skies that break into a smile then ba
