Kelly’s Garden Curated Projects

Salamanca Arts Centre presents Kelly’s Garden Curated Projects, curated by Seán Kelly, a series of installation projects by emerging and established artists.

SAC have developed a strategically focussed program of activity which reflects innovative and best practice in contemporary art, presenting the work of Tasmanian, national and international artists of signficance.

The Kelly’s Garden Curated Projects program, curated by Seán Kelly (former Director of CAST and former Chair of CAOS who returned from a 3 year stint with the National Sculpture Factory, Ireland) was piloted in 2009 with Arts Tasmania support and consists of between four and five projects annually. Within resources, the program will include not only primarily early to mid-career Tasmanian-based artists but also at least one artist of national significance and one artist of international significance. SAC’s exhibitions and installations program also includes mentoring of emerging curators.
