Katherine Cooper is an award-winning wildlife artist.  She grew up on King Island in Bass Strait surrounded by the unspoiled ruggedness of the coast and power of the sea., From an early age she acquired a great passion for the environment.

Her work is dedicated to raising awareness of the beauty and fragility of Tasmanian wildlife and the habitats in which they co-exist with humans. She creates work that conveys the intricacy of feathers and fur, the depth of eye, the power of the talons and claws and above all, the character of the subject.
