Arts Tasmania
Arts Tasmania is part of the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts . It is responsible for the development of integrated policy and planning for arts and culture in Tasmania. CAST (Contemporary Art Spaces)
CAST is Tasmania’s leading contemporary arts organisation committed to assisting the development and promotion of new and experimental art. CAST aims to introduce audiences to contemporary ideas and arts practice through a range of challenging and stimulating programs.
Kickstart Arts Inc
Kickstart Arts Inc produces bold and challenging community focused arts projects that link art and cultural issues with other sectors such as industry, welfare, health, education and science.
Moonah Arts Centre
The Moonah Arts Centre is the focus of Glenorchy City Council’s Arts & Cultural Development Program and has been operating since 1992. It has been at the forefront in developing broad community cultural development projects for the City of Glenorchy, from community arts projects to public art, murals, film projects, special events and concerts.
Tasmanian Regional Arts
Tasmanian Regional Arts is a community organisation with branches around the State. It is the peak organisation for regional arts and community based arts in Tasmania. It aims to excite and inspire Tasmanian communities through arts and cultural participation and experience. The Southern Office is based at Salamanca Arts Centre and the State Office is in Latrobe in northern Tasmania.
Tasmanian Writer’s Centre
The Tasmanian Writers’ Centre is a not-for-profit, Incorporated Association, assisted through Arts Tasmania and the Australia Council. It supports numerous initiatives that promote Tasmanian’s appreciation of literature, including workshops, residencies and mentorships for Tasmanian writers. The Tasmanian Writer’s Centre is based at Salamanca Arts Centre.
Wide Angle Tasmania
Wide Angle Tasmania supports a vibrant and growing screen culture and nurtures Tasmanian talent by running workshops, events, providing film-making equipment and mentoring.
